Verti Wire BLACK

CMO-2500-BK
Vertical ergonomic optical wire mouse designed specifically for the prevention of carpal tunnel syndrome

When working with a normal computer mouse, the bones of the forearms are in an unnaturally crossed position and pain and fatigue of the entire forearm occur after a short time. Prolonged use of such a mouse can lead to chronic problems requiring medical attention.

Carpal tunnel syndrome or computer mouse syndrome - a modern health problem

The use of ordinary office mice is also associated with modern computer disease - the so-called carpal tunnel syndrome (so-called oppression syndrome or RSI). It is the oppression of the middle nerve in the carpal tunnel, which is located in the wrist of the hand. The middle nerve passing through this tunnel transmits impulses from the brain to the thumb, index finger, middle finger and part of the ring finger. In healthy people who do not overload the wrist area, the carpal tunnel provides enough space for the passage of the middle nerve and the fingers are thus sufficiently supplied with impulses from the brain, thus maintaining their full functionality and sensitivity.

The basic symptoms of this syndrome include tingling and pain in the first three fingers (thumb, forefinger and middle finger) reminiscent of the feeling of a hand lying down. There is also a weakened sensitivity of the hand, manifested by a reduced ability to press firmly and clumsiness of the hand in general (in the final stage leading to the falling of objects from the hand). Symptoms often manifest at rest and pain can extend to the forearms and shoulders. In the initial stage, the solution is simple - immediately stop using a regular computer mouse and practice your hand regularly. In the advanced stage, endoscopic surgery in the wrist is already necessary, when the carpal tunnel is relaxed, resp. increase its throughput. In the fully developed syndrome, it is necessary to cut the wrist ligaments, which relieves the pressure on the nerve.

According to the State Institute of Public Health (SZÚ), this is the most common occupational disease in the Czech Republic, in 2017 there were already 500 patients registered and the number of patients increases every year.

All these problems can be very easily prevented by using an ergonomic vertical mouse, in which the user's hand and forearm are in a natural position and there is no unnatural crossing of tendons and bones or compression of the middle nerve in the wrist.
